Canale Diaz Art Center invites all art enthusiasts to the opening reception of “Forms of Stillness” on November 06, 2015. The curated exhibition assembles Heriberto Mora’s most recent paintings and sculptures.
In “Forms of Stillness” Mora continues his relentless quest for spaces of spiritual peace, while retaining a masterful use of luminosity that constitutes a powerful element of his language. Mora conceptualizes with his works “a connecting meadow between the mundane and a vision of that which is sacred”, said Adriana Herrera Tellez, curator of the show. Additionally, Mora devotes a significant portion of the space to sculptures, defying the restrictions imposed by the medium to cross-reference his paintings.
On display until December 13th, a week after Miami Art Week, the exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm to those who would like to become acquainted to or rediscover Mora´s work. On the opening night, a reception will take place from 7-10pm in the presence of the artist.
Heriberto Mora has had over two dozens solo shows throughout Panama, Puerto Rico, Spain and the United States, as well as numerous group exhibitions. He is the recipient of multiple prizes, such as the “Jim and Connie Houser Award” granted by the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, Florida. His works are part of important public and private permanent collections in Argentina, Colombia, France, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States and Venezuela.
