FUNDarte celebrates the eighth edition of “Global Cuba Fest 2015” showcasing the best contemporary musicians from Cuba and the Cuban Diaspora.
Opening Night lineup with Multiple Grammy award winners such as Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Horacio El Negro Hernandez, among many others in a long line of virtuoso Cuban musicians.

-Aldo López Gavilán, got standing ovations when he performed at Carnegie Hall"
-Jorge Luis Pachecho, the only Cuban jazz musician to accompany Wynton Marsalis during his recent Havana concert. Pacheco has recently been invited to perform at the Apollo Theater where a lifetime achievement award was presented to Herbie Hancock on October 24, 2014.
-Harold López Nussa, won the World Prestigious “Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition”.
***Volcán Quartet***
VOLCÁN QUARTET (9:30p.m.)
This all-star project by Grammy award winning artists, presents the latest innovations in Latin Jazz with Afro-Caribbean and Classical influences as well as other contemporary musical genres.
-Gonzalo Rubalcaba (Volcan’s pianist and director) two times Grammy award winner for best Latin Jazz Album and five times nominated for this category. Rubalcaba is one the most iconic figure in modern jazz, who filters various influences through the lense of his Cuban heritage.
-Horacio (El Negro) Hernandez (Volcan’s drummer) owns a Grammy award for the best Latin Jazz album Live at the Blue Note.
***Lariba***

Lariba’s danceable and crowd-pleasing style of music fuses the power of Cuban rap with the elegance of Brazilian phrasings, the fury of Hip Hop with the fluidity of Jazz, the contagious energy of Reggae and Timba with the passion of Flamenco.

FUNDarte and Miami Light Project in collaboration with Miami Dade County Auditorium, present Global Cuba Fest 2015 from March 7 through April 11 featuring some of the most prominent names in Latin Jazz, and world music. The concerts will take place at the Miami Dade County Auditorium and The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse (Wynwood).
