Florida Grand Opera (FGO) and the Museum of Art (MOA) in Fort Lauderdale present a concert featuring Florida Grand Opera?s Young Artists on November 11, 2014 and March 17, 2015. Both concerts, tentatively named ?Art Inspired Song,? will begin at 3pm with the invitation for patrons to join us beforehand for tea in the café. ?We are delighted to partner with Florida Grand Opera on this exciting collaboration of art and music that brings opportunities for new audiences to enjoy opera in Fort Lauderdale, ? said Bonnie Clearwater, NSU Museum of Art Director and Chief Curator. The program will be built around the two of the museum?s current exhibits: Café Dolly and American Scene Photography. FGO will select pieces that either reflect the inspiration of the artwork or that were composed around the same time. Both FGO and MOA hope to give audience members a sense of what was going on in music and visual art at that time and connect the visual art on display to the musical art our singers will present. ?Come see how art inspires art at this unique concert!?
