Event Overview

The Legends Gala is the Chamber’s signature celebration of legacy, leadership, and community. This annual event honors five outstanding individuals who uplift Miami’s LGBTQ+ and allied community and fosters visibility, connection, and economic empowerment. A portion of proceeds will benefit the MDGLCC Foundation, supporting LGBTQ+ and allied small businesses in Miami Dade county.

Award Categories

The Legend Award - honors an individual whose lifetime of achievement has left an enduring mark on Miami’s business, civic, and cultural landscape. The Legend Award recognizes a leader whose vision, integrity, and commitment have strengthened the community and inspired future generations in the LGBTQ+ and allied community.

The Civic Impact Award - honors an individual or organization whose exceptional dedication to community service and social advancement has created meaningful, lasting change in the LGBTQ+ and allied community in Greater Miami. This award celebrates those who lead with compassion, strengthen civic life, and inspire others to give back.

The Excellence in Business Leadership Award - honors an individual who exemplifies outstanding achievement, innovation, and integrity in business. This award recognizes leaders in industries such as hospitality, restaurants, and other enterprises who demonstrate a commitment to excellence, customer experience, and community impact.

The Emerging Leader Award - recognizes a rising professional who demonstrates exceptional talent, leadership potential, and commitment to excellence. This individual is making meaningful contributions to their industry and the Miami LGBTQ+ and allied community while embodying the values of innovation, integrity, and service.

Performer of the Year - honors an exceptional artist whose talent, creativity, and dedication have elevated the art of performance and made a significant impact on the community. This award celebrates performers who embody excellence in entertainment, advocacy, and authenticity—serving as role models of artistry, pride, and inclusivity
